Meet Dr. Rob
Robert L. Dennis, DDS is proud to continue his family’s legacy of dentistry in Akron. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University and has pursued extensive advanced training through Spear Education and Aesthetic Excellence, with a focus on veneers, esthetic dentistry, and full mouth rehabilitation. His goal is to combine clinical excellence with a personalized, comfortable approach that helps patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
Meet Dr. Matt
Matthew Shaughnessy, DMD, known by his patients as “Dr. Matt,” combines advanced training with a caring, personal approach to dentistry. After earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University, he completed a General Practice Residency at the Cleveland Clinic.
Since then, he has pursued extensive continuing education through many programs including the Pankey Institute and Spear Education, earning both Fellowship and Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry—an accomplishment achieved by fewer than 2% of dentists nationwide.

Dr. Eric Dennis started Dennis Dental Care in 1981. He served the Mogadore community for 40 years with unwavering compassion and dedication. His love for his patients and commitment to providing exceptional care left an enduring legacy. Unfortunately, his time was cut short as he battled cancer for many years. We miss him dearly and are proud to continue his tradition of excellence.
